NEW TVIFF 2023 EVENT ON SALE NOW! From Teesside University to Game of Thrones to starting the award winning film production company Candle & Bell, the Tees Valley International Film Festival welcomes Maria Caruana Galizia to ARC to tell us about her journey in the world of film and TV. Having faced rampant sexism as a young producer in a notoriously male dominated industry, Maria’s love for the artistry of cinema helped her battle through. In her own words “I am a woman and I’m creative. I can hold a camera, I can edit and produce and I can handle money and run a company. There’s space for me. The stories I want to tell, people want to hear”, and now Marie comes back to Teesside to tell her story and to advise others on how they too can forge a great career behind the camera. The evening also includes a screening of Maria’s British Independent Film Award nominated short film “A Six and Two Threes”, which was filmed in Stockton before ending with an in depth Q&A. If you want to be creatively inspired and deeply entertained, My Journey by Maria Caruana Galizia is the show for you. Go to the What's On section to get your tickets today!

0 TVIFF 2023 World Premiere Announced!
The Tees Valley International Film Festival brings you a gala world premiere of Teesside filmmaker Paul Suggitt’s “Eddy – My Universe”. Charting the life of Hartlepool’s Eddy Ellwood, this documentary delves into the life of the five time Mr Universe Bodybuilding Champion. Eddy’s early years as doorman in the pubs and clubs of Teesside lead him into the dark world of enforcement that gave him a name very different from that of the successful gym owner he is known as today. The film also documents Eddy’s legal battle with the UK government after his refusal to close his gym under Covid lockdown regulations led to him being hit with a £56000 fine. To make this world premiere even more special, Eddy Ellwood and Paul Suggitt will be in attendance to take part in an in depth interview and an open and honest Q&A session after the screening to tell you even more about Eddy’s remarkable life and the making of this equally remarkable documentary. One of the key aims of the Tees Valley International Film Festival is to kickstart a new generation of filmmaker, actor and writer. An Evening with Pete Bennett and Anthony Hutton comes to Arc Stockton as part of the Tees Valley International Film Festival in October. The event will be hosted by Goffy from BBC Radio Tees and before taking audience questions, Anthony and Pete will tell all about how it felt to walk into the BB house an everyday person and to leave a few weeks later as the most famous person in the country.
